Reviews

Every review we have been given, including the ones that are not five stars.

They are collected the same way every time: a student finishes a course, we ask, and what they write is what appears. Nothing is bought and nothing is written in-house — the distribution below is the whole of it.

  • I spent about four months trying to learn off YouTube and never got past a lumpy first row — every video assumed I already knew how to hold the hook. Here the magic ring alone is three angles and a slow repeat. My first bunny was done in four days and my daughter has claimed it.

  • Honestly the kit is why I started at all. I had been putting it off because I didn't know which hook size or which yarn to buy and the shop near me sells one type. It came in four days, everything labelled, and I didn't have to make a single decision before my first stitch.

  • I bought this for my mother, who is 58 and had never held a hook. She follows the Hindi audio and I watch in English when she gets stuck, so we are both looking at the same screen. She has finished six pieces and has now taken over my yarn budget.

  • I have a graveyard of online courses I paid for and opened twice. This is the first one I have finished, and I think it is because every week ends with an actual finished object. You can't fool yourself about progress when there is a small crocheted thing sitting on the table.

  • Left-handed, and I had already given up on one course for this reason. The stitches here are demonstrated so you can mirror them, and when I still couldn't get the treble right someone in the group posted a flipped clip for me the same evening. That was the moment I decided to keep going.

  • Two kids and a full-time job, so I do about twenty-five minutes after they're down. It took me nearer nine weeks than six and I stopped feeling bad about that around week three. The point is I'm still doing it in month four, which has never happened with anything else I've picked up.

  • I nearly asked for the refund in week two. My tension was awful and everything came out curling. I wrote in expecting a form letter and got a voice note back the next morning telling me exactly what my hands were doing wrong. Two days later it clicked. I'm glad nobody talked me into staying — they just fixed the actual problem.

  • Four stars only because some lessons are longer than they need to be and I found myself skipping ahead, and I'd have liked one more colour in the kit. The teaching itself is the best I've found in any language — I've made eleven things now and given most of them away.

  • I made eleven gifts before Diwali — keychains for my team, two bags, a set of coasters for my mother-in-law. The yarn cost me under six hundred rupees. I stopped doing the maths on whether this was worth it somewhere around the fourth keychain.

  • I'll be honest, I hesitated because I'd never heard of them and I was paying up front. Access opened the second the payment went through, the kit had a tracking link the next day, and every question I've sent has been answered by a person. That's more than I get from companies I've bought from for years.

  • The safety eyes had me nervous — my sister's cat is a menace — and there is a whole two minutes on attaching them properly which I did not expect. Small thing, but it is the sort of detail that tells you someone has actually taught this to real people.

  • My hands ache from typing all day and I was worried crochet would make it worse. The section on grip and hook position genuinely helped — I hold it differently now and can go forty minutes without stopping. Nobody on YouTube mentioned any of that.

    Jyoti Verma, Kanpur

  • Course is excellent, three stars is for the delivery — mine took nine days, not the three to eight it said, and the tracking sat unmoved for a while. Support answered the same day and were straight with me about it. I'd still buy again, I just wouldn't order it the week before someone's birthday.

  • I am the person who buys the yarn, watches the video once, and never opens the bag again. Something about being told exactly what to do on day one, and having the thing arrive with the right hook already in it, got me past that. Four pieces in.

  • Hindi mein poori class hai, that is what sold it for me. I understand English fine but my hands follow instructions better in Hindi, and I did not know that about myself until I tried this.

  • I am 63. I mention that because every course I looked at seemed to be made for twenty-year-olds with good eyesight. This one is filmed close, lit properly, and repeats slowly. I have finished a scarf and started a second.

  • The amigurumi half is much stronger than the beginner half, in my opinion — the beginner section moves a bit fast in the middle. But the amigurumi lessons are worth the whole price and I have made five now.

  • Bought it for myself during a bad month. Sounds silly but having something to do with my hands in the evening that wasn't a screen made a real difference. The bag was a bonus.

  • My eight-year-old watches over my shoulder and now does the chain stitches for me. Not what I bought it for, but it has become the thing we do on Sunday mornings.

    Ayesha Merchant, Mumbai

  • I had tried twice before with library books. The difference is being able to see the hook go in from the angle my own eyes are at. That one camera position is doing more work than any explanation.

    Rachana Deshmukh, Nagpur

  • Everything in the bag is good quality — the hooks have proper grips, not the thin metal ones that leave a dent in your finger. I have bought supplies separately since and paid more for worse.

  • Started selling small pieces at a stall two months in. Nothing dramatic, about four thousand rupees so far, but I made it with my hands and someone chose to pay for it, and I did not think that would ever be true of me.

    Sunita Rawat, Dehradun

  • The thing a subscription solves for me is the gap after you finish something and don't know what to make next. A new pattern lands, I look at it, I want it, I start. I have not had a single idle month since I joined, which was the whole problem before.

    Vaishnavi Rao, Bengaluru

  • I paused for two months when work got heavy. Took one click, no email chain, no one trying to talk me out of it, and everything I'd already downloaded was still mine when I came back. That is genuinely rare and it is why I went annual afterwards.

    Aarti Menon, Thane

  • The live session is the part I underrated. You watch someone make the mistake you're about to make and ask about it in real time. And if you miss it the replay is up the same night — I've watched most of them at eleven pm with the sound low.

    Shruti Deshpande, Nagpur

    Studied: The Crochet Club

  • I don't make everything that comes out — probably half of it isn't my style. But two patterns a year that I'd have paid for individually already covers it, and I've had more than two. Would like a few more home pieces and fewer wearables, personally.

    Lakshmi Subramanian, Chennai

  • I joined on the free month fully intending to cancel on day twenty-nine. What stopped me was finding the cancel button on the first try, in my account, with no chat window and nobody offering me a discount to stay. A company that makes leaving easy is one I'll keep paying.

    Bhavya Kotecha, Surat

    Studied: The Crochet Club

  • The pattern I downloaded in my first month is still in my account after eight months, which is what I wanted to know before I put a card in. You keep what you took. That is not how most subscriptions work and it is why I recommend this one.

    Nandita Ghosh, Kolkata

  • Good, though the first month being free made me lazy — I didn't open it until week three and then had to catch up. Set yourself a reminder. The value is in doing that month's project while everyone else is doing it.

    Ekta Kapoor, Dehradun

  • ₹899 is roughly one pattern bought elsewhere, and there are four a month plus the call. I did that sum before joining and I have done it again since. It is not close.

    Suman Rathore, Udaipur

  • My nine-year-old asked for it after seeing a friend's keychain, and I assumed it would go the way of the ukulele. She is on week five. What made the difference is that the first lesson ends with a finished thing — she had something in her hand on day one and showed it to everyone who came to the house.

    Shalini Ramesh, Chennai

  • The pitch that got me was 'not another screen', which I was sceptical about because it is obviously watched on a screen. In practice he watches two minutes, pauses, and works for twenty. That ratio is the whole thing. It is the only tablet time in this house I don't have to police.

    Ravi Krishnan, Bengaluru

Studied: Crochet for Kids — 8 to 14

  • I was worried about the hook with a child. They start with a large blunt hook and thick yarn, the grip is taught before any stitch, and there is a whole lesson on where to put it down when you stop. My daughter is eight and I have not once had to hover.

    Meera Joshi, Indore

Studied: Crochet for Kids — 8 to 14

  • Four stars because my son needed me next to him for the first three lessons — the eight-to-fourteen range is wide and at eight he needed a hand. After that he was independent and now teaches his sister. Worth knowing before you buy if your child is at the younger end.

    Anita Bhagat, Nagpur

Studied: Crochet for Kids — 8 to 14

  • She has made fourteen things and sold four of them to my colleagues at ₹150 each. I did not expect the money part at all — it came from her, not from the course — but watching her work out that people will pay for something she made has been worth more than the fee.

    Fatima Sheikh, Aurangabad

  • Both my children, eleven and thirteen, on one purchase. They race each other. The lessons are eight to ten minutes which is exactly right — long enough to learn something, short enough that nobody wanders off halfway.

    Sunita Rawat, Dehradun

Studied: Crochet for Kids — 8 to 14

  • My daughter has been assessed for attention difficulties and finishes almost nothing. She has finished nine of these. The repetition seems to be the point rather than the problem — she goes quiet in a way that nothing else gets her to.

    Gopal Menon, Thrissur

Studied: Crochet for Kids — 8 to 14

  • Bought it for my son and had to explain to two aunts that boys crochet. The course simply does not make a thing of it — the projects are footballs, dinosaurs, a phone pouch, and the teaching voice never once says 'girls'. That mattered more than I expected it to.

    Harpreet Kaur, Ludhiana

Studied: Crochet for Kids — 8 to 14

  • The course is very good. My complaint is that we ran out of yarn in week two and I had to work out what to buy, which took me an evening of research I would rather not have done. Get the kit with it if you are not a crocheter yourself.

    Vandana Pillai, Kochi

  • Summer holidays, and I was losing the argument about screen time every single day. This ended the argument. Six weeks in she is still going, and the house is full of small woollen animals that I am not allowed to move.

    Neelam Agarwal, Agra

  • I paid ₹199 expecting a sales pitch with a price at the end. It is six videos and a costing sheet, and the sheet is the part I use. I had been selling keychains at ₹120 without counting my own hours. They were costing me ₹96 to make. I put the price up to ₹250 and nobody stopped buying.

    Divya Suresh, Salem

  • What I wanted was a number I could believe. This gives you the actual arithmetic — hours per piece, yarn cost, what people in your city will pay — and lets you work out your own. Mine came to about ₹18,000 a month at ten hours a week, not thirty thousand. I would rather know that now.

    Sushmita Bhatt, Ranchi

  • The pricing video alone changed how I quote. I had been apologising for my prices and knocking them down before anyone asked. There is a section on what to say when someone says it is too expensive that I have now used four times.

    Kavita Ranjan, Patna

    Studied: The ₹30,000 Crochet Plan

  • Honest and useful, and I have deducted a star because it assumes you can already crochet reasonably well. I could, so it worked for me, but if you are still learning the stitches this is the wrong thing to buy first.

    Ashwini Gaikwad, Solapur

    Studied: The ₹30,000 Crochet Plan

  • Two things I had never thought about: which products actually sell versus which ones I enjoy making, and how to photograph them on a phone against a wall. My orders went from about two a month to eleven, and I changed almost nothing else.

    Rehana Mirza, Hyderabad

    Studied: The ₹30,000 Crochet Plan

  • I run a small tuition class and wanted a second income. I watched the whole thing in one evening. The part about starting with one product and one channel rather than five saved me from doing what I was about to do.

    Bhavna Trivedi, Rajkot

    Studied: The ₹30,000 Crochet Plan

  • Fair value for ₹199 but manage your expectations — it is a plan, not a course. Nobody will make you a business in six videos. What it did do is stop me guessing at prices, and it made clear the bigger programme is where the templates and the shop setup live.

    Pooja Nandakumar, Mysuru

    Studied: The ₹30,000 Crochet Plan

  • The spreadsheet is the whole thing for me. I put in my yarn cost and my hours and it tells me what I need to charge to make a given amount a month. I have it open every time somebody asks me for a custom order.

    Lakshmi Prabhu, Vijayawada

    Studied: The ₹30,000 Crochet Plan

  • Nine months in. Month one I made ₹4,200 and thought I had wasted the fee. Month four was ₹21,000 and last month was ₹34,600, and the shape of that curve is exactly what the course said it would be. If I had judged it at month two I would have quit.

  • I already knew how to crochet. What I did not know was what to make that people buy, what to charge, or how to get anyone to see it. The Instagram section is not generic advice — it is what to post for a craft product specifically, and my first reel from that template did 40,000 views.

    Reshma Kadam, Kolhapur

    Studied: Crochet Business Blueprint

  • The bit nobody else teaches is what to do when the orders arrive. I had eleven at once in December and no system, and the batching and stock chapters are the only reason I did not miss the whole festive season.

    Aparna Deshmukh, Aurangabad

    Studied: Crochet Business Blueprint

  • Four stars, and I would still buy it again. It is a lot of material and I put off starting for three weeks because of that. Do the first module and one product before you watch anything else — that is the advice I would give myself.

    Ritika Sood, Amritsar

    Studied: Crochet Business Blueprint

  • I sell at two weekend markets and had never touched online. The pricing model here took my average order from ₹380 to ₹690 without losing customers, because I stopped pricing against the aunty at the next stall and started pricing against what it costs me.

    Nithya Balakrishnan, Madurai

  • Nazar answers questions himself in the group. Not a support team — him, usually late at night, usually with a photo of the thing he is describing. For what I paid I did not expect that and it is the reason I finished it.

    Shabana Kausar, Bhopal

    Studied: Crochet Business Blueprint

  • Once you can hold a hook the problem is deciding what to make next, and I lost more time to that than to any stitch. Three complete projects with someone talking you through every row is a much better answer than a folder of patterns.

    Ipsita Mohanty, Bhubaneswar

  • I picked the tote first because I wanted something I would actually carry. It came out well enough that two people asked where I bought it, which is not something I expected to be saying four months after starting.

    Manisha Yadav, Varanasi

Studied: Any 3 masterclasses of your choice

  • Good value and well filmed. One of the three was easier than I expected for the level it is listed at — no complaint, just be aware you may finish it in an afternoon.

    Tanvi Sharma, Meerut

  • Ordered on a Sunday, arrived Wednesday in Aligarh, everything wrapped separately and labelled with which lesson it belongs to. I have bought yarn locally for years and this is better yarn than my shop stocks.

    Zoya Iqbal, Aligarh

  • The hooks have the soft grip, which I did not realise mattered until I used a metal one at a friend's house and my hand hurt after ten minutes. If you have any wrist trouble, get the kit rather than the cheapest hooks you can find.

    Sarita Bisht, Haldwani

Studied: Crochet Confidence Kit — Signature

  • Everything arrived and the quality is genuinely good. I would have liked a small pair of scissors in it — a tiny thing, and I mention it only because everything else was thought through.

    Kalpana Iyengar, Mangaluru

One of the reviews above mentions selling. Most people who take this do it for themselves and never sell anything, and nothing here is a promise of income — what you earn depends on what you make, where you sell it and how much time you put in.
